PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a bereaved family can not decorate a conventional Buddhist altar for the deceased as they like because the conventional altar is of box type, designed to hold a mortuary tablet on a tiered stand, being more of a storage than a display, and that a conventional mortuary tablet somewhat brings a bereaved family a remote mood. SOLUTION: This Buddhist altar comprises a base table provided with a plurality of fitting holes into which a Buddhist statue stand shaped like a plant such as a lotus flower or a peony, a mortuary tablet stand shaped like a bud, and other decorative stands including offering stands shaped like a flower or a leaf can be inserted freely. Besides, it allows a bereaved family to decorate the altar with fresh flowers as they like to make it original on their own. The bud mortuary tablet is given the function of holding a posthumous Buddhist name plate, a photo, or a part of a deceased person's ashes.
