Provided is a generator for converting torque of a rotor into electrical energy in awind power generat ion system. In order to achieve an optimal power generation efficiency at a lower wind speed, a gearbox that causes a mechanical inefficiency is excluded. Instead, in order to directly convert the torque of the rotor into electrical- energy, permanent magnets are provided to a drum disposed in the center of the rotating rotor, and coils are provided to a pillar which is a concrete structure that does not rotate but is fixed. Therefore, the power generation efficiency can be increased.
