<p>A method and a system for transporting Ethernet traffic in optical transport network are provided. The method includes the primary steps as follows: filling no less than two NJOs (Negative Justification Opportunity) in the overhead of OPUk (Optical Payload Unit) and the corresponding PJOs (Positive Justification Opportunity) with justification octets or Ethernet traffic octets, and filling the payload of OPUk with Ethernet traffic octets; the transmitter sends Ethernet traffic data by ODUk including OPUk to the receiver. With this method, transparent Ethernet traffic transport is realized by asynchronous bit CBR mapping, and the problem is avoided that the Ethernet interface frequency offset demand defined in IEEE cannot be satisfied by the current synchronous or asynchronous bit CBR mapping.</p> |
