<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that torque is interrupted due to decrease in torque transmitted to wheels, i.e., torque used to drive a vehicle, when the output torque of a rotating electrical machine is insufficient when switched from a stepless transmission state to a stepped transmission state while the output torque of a drive source is reduced when switched from a stepless transmission state to a stepped transmission state. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU performs a program including a step for determining whether to from a stepless transmission state to a stepped transmission state (S100); a step for determining whether or not it is possible to compensate torque using either a first MG or a second MG (S110) if the mode is switched from a stepless transmission state to a stepped transmission state (YES at S100); a step for determining a method of compensating torque (S120) if it is possible to compensate torque using either the first MG or the second MG (YES at S110); and a step switching from a stepless transmission state to a stepped transmission state and compensating a change in torque transmitted to rear wheels, using the determined method of compensation and either the first MG or the second MG (S130). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
