PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal receiver capable of achieving reduction of power consumption by stopping signal reception in a symbol duration where the signal is not received. SOLUTION: A duration setting unit 5 sets a duration where a signal is received in an 1OFDM symbol duration. In a signal reception duration of the 1OFDM symbol duration, a power control unit 6 supplies power to a frequency conversion unit 2 and an A/D conversion unit 3 so that frequency conversion and A/D conversion of a signal received with an antenna 1 can be executed. In a duration other than the signal reception duration, the power control unit 6 stops the power supply to the frequency conversion unit 2 and the A/D conversion unit 3. Decoding processing is executed using a signal in the signal reception duration subjected to the frequency conversion and the A/D conversion. This device can reduce power consumption, because it executes the decoding processing while using the signal of a part of duration of the 1OFDM symbol duration and does not supply power to the frequency conversion unit 2 and the A/D conversion unit 3 in the duration which is not used for the decoding processing.
