PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting board capable of preventing explosion of an element. SOLUTION: A mounting board 10 having an electronic component 7 mounted on a substrate 23 includes a varistor 6, which has a plurality of leads 12 and 13 fixed on the substrate 23 and a case 14, which has only one open side 22 attached to the substrate 23 so as to cover the varistor 6. Between the open side 22 and a substrate part where the open side 22 is attached, a groove 25 is formed.
