PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply system which prevents generation of legionella bacteria, coli bacillus and various germs in a circulation hot water supply pipe even when a temperature of hot water in the circulation hot water supply pipe is lowered to 45°C, simultaneously with elimination of slime generated in the circulation hot water supply pipe which becomes breeding ground for legionella bacteria, coli bacillus and the like, and saves on the total energy consumption by about 25%. SOLUTION: A circulation water sterilizer 1 for sterilizing legionella bacteria, coli bacillus and the like existing in the hot water, and a fluid activating device 15 for eliminating the slime in the circulation hot water supply pipe 31 and simultaneously reducing red rust in the circulation hot water supply pipe 31 into black rust, are disposed in a hot water supply piping portion 37 of the circulation hot water supply pipe 31 to which hot water is supplied from a boiler 30 or a hot water storage tank 32.
