PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch unit capable of preventing idling torque from easily increasing even when misalignment occurs between a housing and a lid member. SOLUTION: This one-way clutch is structured such that a plurality of pockets 7 are formed on the inside surface 6 of an outer ring 1; a cam surface is formed in each pocket 7; a roller 2 is arranged in each pocket 7; a clutch spring 3 energizing the rollers 2 in a direction reducing distances between the cam surfaces of the outer ring 1 and the circumferential surface of a shaft is arranged; the outer ring 1 is fitted in the housing 4 having an inward flange part 15 formed at one end of a pipe part 14; the outer ring 1 is prevented from coming off from the housing 4 by the lid member pressed in the other end of the pipe part 14; when torque in one rotating direction acts, the rollers 2 bite in and transmit torque between the outer ring 1 and the shaft; and when torque in the other rotating direction acts, the rollers 2 release the biting-in and block torque transmission. In the one-way clutch, the inside diameter of the lid member is set larger than that of the inside surface 6 of the outer ring 1, and the circumferential surface of the shaft is supported by the inside surface 6 of the outer ring 1.
