PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resistant passenger conveyor device for a building capable of improving earthquake resistance of the building. SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor 1 of this invention comprises a framework 5 having a pair of right and left side frames 6A, 6B and an upper bent part P1 and a lower bent part P2 between an inclined section L1 and an upper horizontal section L2 and a lower horizontal section L3, and upper reinforcing plates 14A and 14B and lower reinforcing plates 15A and 15B provided, extending in the height direction of the respective side frames 6A and 6B, in the upper horizontal section L2 and the lower horizontal section L3 including the upper bent part P1 and the lower bent part P2 of the pair of side frames 6A and 6B.
