PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a chain adjuster from being seen from the outside, in an axle supporting device applied to the chain adjuster of a motorcycle. SOLUTION: A rear end of an arm part 40 constituting a rear fork is formed in a recessed part having a U-shaped section which is opened inward of a vehicle body to form an axle supporting part 46, and an adjuster plate 60 of a chain adjuster 15 overlaps an inner surface of the axle supporting part 46. The adjuster plate 60 supports a front end 62 by a stopper 57 provided on the inner surface of the axle supporting part 46 to prevent any detachment. A flange part 54 is provided on a rear end of a reinforcing plate 53 provided on the axle supporting part 46 and supported to perform the inwardly nonslip support. Most of the chain adjuster 15 can be prevented from being seen from an outer surface of the axle supporting part 46. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
