MATRIX GEL GRAFT WITHOUT CELLS

The invention relates to a cell-free matrix gel graft comprising: (i) a coherent, framework-forming matrix having open porosity made of a biologically and pharmaceutically acceptable material, and (ii) a gel made of a biologically and pharmaceutically acceptable material. The invention also provides a method for producing said cell-free matrix-gel graft, comprising the following steps: (v) bringing the matrix and the gel into contact, and (vi) drying the matrix-gel complex formed in (v). Furthermore, the present invention provides for the use of the cell-free matrix-gel graft for covering and increasing the visco-elasticity of defects, for regenerating tissue and particularly for regenerating mesenchymal tissue, particularly of cartilage and/or bone.
