<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to confirm that both electronic equipment of an output side and an input side are cooperatively processing content by notifying the user of a state of content being processed by the both electronic equipment in an easy to understand manner. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment is provided with: a content input part, a means for obtaining model identification information from the other electronic equipment used for inputting content, a means for obtaining processing kind information based on model identification information and operation information, and a means for outputting equipment state information to a display based on the obtained processing kind information.
