PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the axial gap motor structure which can effectively utilize reluctance torque and can increase torque of the motor, without enlarging the size of the motor. SOLUTION: In the axial gap motor arranging at least a pair of stators 4 and rotors 3 to be opposed along a rotary shaft 2, a magnet in the rotor is arranged in a manner that a magnetic pole surface of the magnet 8 magnetized in a thickness direction is placed in a vertical direction relating to a gap surface between the opposed stator and rotor, and additionally a stator core 11 of the stator is arranged in a manner that the stator core interposing the magnet and the stator core interposing a magnetic material between the magnets are simultaneously existent.
