PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate face image information optimal for person identification on the basis of a monitor image photographed under a free flow environment. SOLUTION: A monitor image processing method of the present invention includes: fetching monitor images of moving images sequentially in a frame unit; detecting one or more person face parts in the respective frames and tracking the face parts among a plurality of different frames; and selecting a plurality of face images with different face directions at least based on the plurality of face images tracked for the same person and storing the selected face images in a memory.
