PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-based floor material laying method which is applicable to a floor material having a woody resin expansion-molded body excellent in woody touch and recyclability, as a substrate, and available for preventing a lifting phenomenon attributable to change of environmental temperatures, and to provide a floor surface constructed according to the laying method. SOLUTION: The resin-based floor material is formed by laminating the woody resin expansion-molded body which is produced by expansion-molding a woody resin composition at least containing a thermoplastic resin and a woody filler, and a face sheet on each other. According to the resin-based floor material laying method, part and/or all the resin-based floor material in a lengthwise direction and/or part and/or all the resin-based floor material in a widthwise direction is arranged so as to make contact with the resin-based floor material having lengthwise and widthwise coefficients of linear expansion different from those of the former resin-based floor material by a value ranging from not less than 0.2×10<SP>-5</SP>to not more than 5.0×10<SP>-5</SP>(1/°C).
