PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material compression working apparatus by which service lives of working rolls are extended, the working rolls are easily ground, and productive efficiency of producing a powder material by compression working is enhanced. SOLUTION: In the material compression working apparatus where a powder material is subjected to compression working between a pair of working rolls 1a, 1b arranged so as to be confronted, roll grinding apparatuses 6 are arranged correspondingly to the respective working rolls 1a, 1b, the powder material is subjected to compression working by the working rolls 1a, 1b, and simultaneously, the respective working rolls 1a, 1b can be subjected to grinding by the roll grinding apparatuses 6.
