摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe materials from a viewpoint different from the former for developing a room temperature superconductor, to find a new superconductive compound, and to expand the series of superconductive compounds. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a compound superconductor as a compound with a mayenite type crystal structure shown by chemical formula [Ca<SB>24</SB>Al<SB>28</SB>O<SB>64</SB>]<SP>4+</SP>2[xO<SP>2-</SP>+2yA+2ä1-(x+2y)}e<SP>-</SP>] (A denotes one or more kinds selected from OH<SP>-</SP>, O<SP>-</SP>and O<SB>2</SB><SP>-</SP>clathrated in a cage; and 0≤x+2y≤0.5). This compound superconductor can be produced by preparing a compound with a mayenite type crystal structure shown by chemical formula [Ca<SB>24</SB>Al<SB>28</SB>O<SB>64</SB>]<SP>4+</SP>2[xO<SP>2-</SP>+2yA] (A denotes one or more kinds selected from OH<SP>-</SP>, O<SP>-</SP>and O<SB>2</SB><SP>-</SP>clathrated in a cage; and 0≤x≤1 and y=1-x) in a method where magnetic ions are incorporated therein, and substituting≥50 atomic% of the total of O<SP>2-</SP>and A, (x+2y) for electrons.
