PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoaging amelioration agent for skin and to provide an external preparation for skin having excellent effect to ameliorate the photoaging symptoms such as the wrinkles and sagging of the skin. SOLUTION: The invention provides an external preparation for skin having excellent effect to ameliorate the photoaging symptoms such as the wrinkles and sagging of the skin and comprising a photoaging amelioration agent for skin for external use compounded with a glycosaminoglycan-relating substance, wherein the glycosaminoglycan-relating substance is a substance constituting the sugar chain of proteoglycan and/or its derivative and comprising one or more substances selected from D-glucosamine hydrochloride, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-xylose and sodium chondroitin sulfate.
