PRINTING SYSTEM AND METHOD, PICTURE REPRODUCTION DEVICE, AND PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily print a picture showing the recording content on the label face of a recording medium such as DVD media.

SOLUTION: A DVD recorder100 receives a user's instruction and records dynamic picture data on the recording type DVD media DM. A still picture is captured from the dynamic picture data by the DVD recorder 100 when the DVD media DM are ejected, to store it to an internal memory or a hard disk drive. When the DVD media DM are ejected from the DVD recorder 100 and set to the printer 200, the DVD recorder 100 transmits the still picture which has been stored, to the printer 200. The printer 200 prints thus received still picture on the label faces of the DVD media DM.
