摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate electric connection between a light emitting element or light receiving element and an external terminal while positioning accuracy of the light emitting or receiving element and an optical fiber is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication module is configured to have: an insulating first planar member 13 having an optical waveguide and an optical fiber inserting guide 131 on one end face of the optical waveguide; an electrically conductive second planar member 15 installed in the upper part of the first planar member; an electrically conductive third planar member 11 installed in the lower part of the first planar member; and an element section 31 installed on the other end face of the optical waveguide of the first planar member and provided with a light emitting element or a light receiving element, wherein the element section is electrically connected to the second planar member 15 and the third planar member 11.
