Alternatively, the flake graphite cast iron material having excellent weldability has a composition in which, by weight, the content of RE satisfies the range of 2.65×S%≤RE≤4.5×S%, also, the content of S satisfies the range of 0%≤S≤0.20%, also, the content of C, Si satisfies the range of 2.5%≤C≤3.5%, and the range of 1.2%≤Si≤2.5%, and also, the relation in weight% between the C and Si satisfies the relational inequality of C%+0.23Si%≤4.3, and the balance Fe, Mn and inevitable impurities.
