PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stickiness-imparting resin emulsion which can give a sticky adhesive composition good in various sticky adhesiveness properties such as heat-resistant holding power without adversely affecting compatibility with a base polymer in spite of a lowered organic solvent content, to provide a sticky adhesive composition, and to provide a good storage stability high-softening sticky adhesive resin emulsion in a high yield without using any organic solvent, namely with safety in production operations. SOLUTION: The stickiness-imparting resin emulsion is characterized in that its solids component except an emulsifier component comprises 65-99 wt.% (A) polymerized rosin ester resin of a softening point of 135-180°C and an acid number of not higher than 20 and 1-35 wt.% (B) carboxyl-containing acrylic oligomer which is other than (A) and has an acid number of 50-100 and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000 [the total of components (A) and (B) being 100 wt.%], and the amount of the organic solvent contained in the emulsion is not larger than 50 ppm.
