PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas oil composition which is reduced in the compounding amount of a kerosine fraction and excels in low temperature flowability and oxidation stability by optimizing the formulation of a gas oil base material. SOLUTION: The gas oil composition comprises 0.1-20 vol.% of a base material which is prepared by subjecting a fraction having a boiling point of 100-250°C distilled from a fluidized catalytic cracker to hydrodesulfurization treatment and has a sulfur content of not more than 10 mass ppm, a nitrogen content of not more than 10 mass ppm, and a flash point of not lower than 50°C.
