PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding shaft preferable as a following type shaft capable of easily removing a band-like body wound in a rolled shape. SOLUTION: The winding shaft 53 for winding the band-like body in the rolled shape is provided with: a shaft body 531; a movable member 534 provided displaceably in a radial direction of the shaft body 531; and an operation mechanism 532 for displacing the movable member 534 in the radial direction. A cylindrical member 535 is externally inserted so as to cover a part or a whole part of a peripheral surface of the shaft body 531 and the movable member 534 from the circumferential direction, and diameter-enlarged or diameter-contracted while following to the displacement to an outer side or an inner side in the radial direction of the movable member 534.
