PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid deodorant composition exhibiting an excellent deodorizing effect to an acidic gas, which never corrodes an apparatus and to provide a method for producing the solid deodorant composition. SOLUTION: The solid deodorant composition contains iron sulfate, slaked lime and activated carbon. The solid content of the iron sulfate is 10-60 wt.% of the total amount of the solid deodorant composition and the pH of the solid deodorant composition is 6-8. The method for producing the solid deodorant composition comprises the steps of: blending slaked lime beforehand with activated carbon; adding an iron sulfate solution to the obtained blend and mixing them; granulating the obtained mixture; and drying the granulated mixture.
