PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sand for an animal toilet that is less likely to injure legs, or the like, of the animal using the toilet with less amount of ammonia emitted. SOLUTION: The sand for the animal toilet comprises a plurality of particulate materials. Each of the granular materials contains a group of particles comprising an inorganic porous material and an inorganic binder integrally fixing the group of particles, and the inorganic binder contains a non-cement type solidification agent.
