<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a platinum nano catalyst-carrying carbon nano-tube electrode prepared through growing a carbon nano-tube of a fixed size on the surface of a carbon paper with high density and also high dispersion, in order to improve the performance capability of a fuel cell electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon nano tube is directly grown on the surface of the carbon paper and platinum nano particles are carried on the surface of the grown carbon nano tube by using a chemical vapor deposition method. The wide surface area, the excellent electrical conductivity or the like of the carbon nano tube are utilized to the maximum by directly growing the carbon nano tube, and especially, fine nano catalyst particles are carried on the surface of the carbon nano tube by using the chemical vapor deposition method as a carrying method of a platinum catalyst on the surface of the carbon nano tube, and dispersion degree is increased and catalyst activity is improved, and an amount of the platinum is minimized and also efficient catalyst effectiveness is obtained, and further scientific and industrial use are largely expected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
