摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and properly transfer a sequence number when switched to a standby route side during using a redundant data repeater provided with a current router and the standby router to perform encryption communication. <P>SOLUTION: When the standby route 120 side is switched to the current router to transmit an IPsec packet, the current router 120 side can inherit and give a proper sequence number without being overlapped on a used sequence number even though the uncertain number of IPsec packets are transmitted until routers are switched from the current router 120 to the standby route 130 by estimating the maximum number having the possibility of being given as a sequence number within a fixed time t<SB>0</SB>and sequentially giving a transfer sequence number SN<SB>3</SB>+Nc+1 based on a sequence number SN<SB>3</SB>+Nc added to a sequence number SN<SB>3</SB>with a preset prescribed value Nc notified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
