PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waveform signal analyzer for reasoning about a state of a transmission line on the basis of a waveform signal actually used for communication without changing a network configuration of the transmission line. SOLUTION: The waveform signal analyzer is provided with a waveform signal inputting means 110 for obtaining a waveform signal of a telegraphic message caused to flow in the transmission line, a pulse extracting means 120 for extracting a pulse signal from the waveform signal obtained by the waveform signal inputting means 110, a pulse distortion amount calculating means 130 for calculating the distortion amount of the pulse signal extracted by the pulse extracting means 120, a pulse distortion amount accumulating means 140 for accumulating the distortion amount calculated by the pulse distortion amount calculating means 130, a transmission line diagnosing means 150 for estimating the state of the transmission line on the basis of an accumulation result of the pulse distortion amount accumulating means 140, and an outputting means for outputting an estimation result of the transmission lien diagnosing means 150.
