PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner satisfying both of low-temperature fixability and hot offset resistance, having high hot storage stability and productivity, and forming a satisfactory image with no fog, and provide a process cartridge using the toner and excellent in image quality, and an image forming apparatus including a contact charging device. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development contains a resin component, a wax component and a colorant as essential components, wherein the resin component consists of a nonlinear polymer resin (A), a linear polymer resin (B) and a resin (C) obtained by bringing a mixture containing starting monomers of a condensation polymer resin and starting monomers of an addition polymer resin into a condensation polymerization and an addition polymerization reaction at the same time in the same reaction vessel, the resins (A), (B) and (C) contain at least the same polymer unit, and a black iron oxide compound containing a titanium component in an amount of 10-45 wt.% (expressed in terms of Ti atoms) relative to the amount of Fe atoms is used as the colorant.
