PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which solves re-boiling of ink without a drive frequency being lowered, suppresses generation of heat of a head, and solves cross talk with a heating element in the periphery and separation of a substrate that constitutes the head and a top plate. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head which ejects a liquid by heating foaming the liquid and utilizing generated bubbles includes liquid ejection ports, the top plate 302 having a channel formed for filling the liquid disposed communicating with the liquid ejection ports, the substrate 303 having a heating element supporting layer 304 formed on a surface, the heating element 305 arranged on the heating element supporting layer 304, and a cooling part 306 located at the lower part of the heating element 305. A heat insulating part 307 is prepared between the substrate 303 and the adjacent heating element 305. The heat insulating part 307 has both a cavity 308 filled with the liquid surrounding the cooling part 306, and a heat insulation region smaller in thermal conductivity surrounding the cavity 308 than the substrate 303.
