PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing powder for a compression-molded item of high reliability, in which powder attached to the surface of the compression-molded item can be removed while restricting damage on the compression-molded item. SOLUTION: The device for removing the powder 1 is provided with a separation tube 2, an injection means 21, and a recovery means 31. The separation tube 2 is horizontally installed, and includes an inner surface range 2c to guide vertical move of compression-molded items (tablets D) moved from an inlet 2a opening at one end of its longitudinal direction toward an outlet 2b at the other end part of the longitudinal direction. The injection means 21 comprises a plurality of injection nozzles 22 provided at an interval along the longitudinal direction of the separation tube 2. Air currents F are formed to flow upward along the inner surface range 2c by compressed air injected from the injection nozzles 22 toward the bottom part 2d of the inner surface range 2c. The recovery means 31 to suck air in the separation tube 2 has a first powder outlet 15 provided along a tangent to the inner surface of the separation tube 2 at a connected position upward of the inner surface range 2c, so that powder included in the air currents passing the powder outlet is recovered.
