An authentication method for inter-domain handover of a mobile node from a previous network (PN) to a new network (NN), said method comprising: generating keying materials to be used for an authentication between said mobile node (MN) and said new network as well as between said new network and said previous network distributing said generated keying materials to said mobile node and said new network; performing an authentication between said mobile node and said new network based on said generated keying materials which have been distributed to said mobile node and said new network.
