The method involves introducing measuring electrode (4) into a bore hole (19a). A hard grout is fastened at an outer surface of a measuring tube (2) in a defined position. A fluid like casting compound is brought into the opening of the hard grout. The opening is locked in such a manner by a locking mechanism that the casting compound is compressed easily into the hard grout. An independent claim is also included for a device for assembling a measuring electrode in a bore hole of a measuring tube for an magneto-inductive flow meter.
