A method for preparing copper aluminum oxides is provided to control the reaction easily, to have a relatively fast reaction rate, to allow low-temperature reaction, and to improve productivity. A method for preparing copper aluminum oxides includes the steps of: using aluminum oxide(Al2O3) particles as a seed, and binding copper selenide to at least a part of the surface of the seed to form a reactant precursor; and heat-treating the reaction precursor. The reactant precursor has a core-shell structure in which the seed is coated with the copper selenide. Further, the copper selenide is CuSe and/or CuSe2. The reactant precursor is prepared by reacting aluminum oxide particles as the seed with copper nitrate and selenious acid as reactants in an organic solvent.
