<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle headlight which enables light distribution for overhead signs (OHS) to be formed by utilizing luminous fluxes from a light source effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle headlight 1 has an optical axis A1 prolonging in back and front directions of a vehicle, and is configured so that light from an LED 3 may be reflected to the front of a vehicle by a reflector 2, wherein a reflector 2 is located under an LED 3 and has a reflective surface 2A the cross-section of which in alignment with a vertical plane including an optical axis A1, shows an abbreviated parabolic shape, a reflector 4 is provided which is installed in a position which enables a direct incidence of light from a LED 3 and has a reflective surface 4A for reflecting light from a LED 3 to a reflector 2, and in an incident point P1 on a reflective surface 2A which incident light L1 which carries out direct incidence to a reflective surface 2A from a LED 3, and incident light L2 which carries out incidence to a reflective surface 2A being reflected by a reflector 4, share, an incident angle θ<SB>11</SB>of incident light L1 is larger than an incident angle θ<SB>12</SB>of incident light L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
