<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the other application without requesting a user to close a browser, in a state that online help is shown on a display. <P>SOLUTION: In this online help data display device, an object of a "helpfunc. execapp()" function of the other application program 1063n is described in the HTML online help 1062. When the object is selected by a user, a CPU 105 executes an execapp method (instruction) which is an execution instruction in the helpfunc function implemented in the browser 1061, searches for the other application 1063n given as its argument on an application table 1064, and executes it.
