PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of enhancing the amusement of the play with an assignment imposing presentation by making a player feel that the assignment can not be easily achieved if the apparent degree of difficulty of the assignment is high and that the assignment can be easily achieved if the apparent degree of difficulty is low by presenting the assignment with different apparent degree of difficulty according to the result of a symbol combination game as the initiator of the assignment imposing presentation. SOLUTION: If variation patterns for jackpot presentation P3-P8 are determined, an integrated CPU may often determine an assignment imposing pattern with an apparently low degree of difficulty in which the effective period is long and the number of kinds of ready-to-win symbol combinations to be displayed as the assignment is small among assignment imposing patterns. If a variation pattern for failure presentation P1 is determined, the integrated CPU may often determine an assignment imposing pattern with an apparently high degree of difficulty in which the effective period is short and the number of kinds of the ready-to-win symbol combinations to be displayed as the assignment is large among the assignment imposing patterns.
