PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a deformable backrest where a panel which makes up a seat or a backrest consists of a continuous periphery frame formed from a second plastic material which is more rigid than a material which makes the panel, and the continuous periphery frame does not prevent the backrest from forming a backward bent configuration under the operation that a user applies pressing force backward for the backrest. SOLUTION: A backrest 16 has a non-planar leaning surface, is equipped with at least one weakened domain 32 which is elastically deformable, and is equipped with a deformable leaning part which consists of a plastic material which forms a backward inclined structure, two uprights 30 which are formed integrally on the side surface of the leaning part, and two lateral connection elements 36 which are formed integrally on the lower end of the uprights 30 and connect the backrest 16 to a supporting structure 12 under the operation that pressing force is applied backward by a user.
