PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful laminated electrochromic element including one colored electrochromic polymer. SOLUTION: The laminated electrochromic element comprises (a) a transparent electrode layer and (b) a polymer layer. The polymer layer is switchable between a first state and a second state. The polymer layer indicates a first color in the first state and on the other hand, in the second state the polymer layer is at least one of second different colors and is generally transparent and includes either of the following (i) or (ii); (i) a cathodic colored electrochromic polymer colored in a reduction state not including an anodic colored electrochromic polymer in the laminated electrochromic element, (ii) an anodic colored electrochromic polymer colored in an oxidation state not including the cathodic colored electrochromic polymer in the laminated electrochromic element, (c) an electrolyte layer including a solid-state electrolyte and (d) a paired electrode layer.
