PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide video equipment capable of improving the visibility of an OSD images. SOLUTION: A video output circuit 4 performs averaging of image colors in a display region which includes a display position of the OSD image and is a part of a display screen based upon RGB signals, a microcomputer 6 determines the opposite color of the color that the performance result indicates, and a video output circuit 4 superposes an OSD signal of the determined opposite color on the RGB signals and outputs the video signal, after the superimposition to an LCD 5.
