PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator which can improve the loading capacity of a lid body, close properly in relation to an agitation drum, easily carry out lid body opening/closing work, and make an agitation blade rotate or stop automatically by the opening/closing of the lid body when a metal wire rod lattice-assembly lid body is fitted to the agitation drum agitating a cement kneading material. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for agitating the cement kneading material, when the lid body 2 covering the upper opening of the agitation drum 1 is formed by metal wire rod lattice assembling, an annular drum pad 6 made of the metal wire rod 3 with a caliber larger than the diameter of the upper opening of the agitation drum 1 is set on the periphery of the lid body 2, and the annular metal wire rod 3 which has a constitution that the annular drum pad 6 made of the annular metal wire rod is closed with an annular lid pad 8 at the upper end of the drum forming the upper opening of the agitation drum 1 and forms the annular drum pad 6 is fitted openably to the upper end of the agitation drum 1 through a hinge 9.
