PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting a driving signal suitably corresponding to the properties of a nozzle. SOLUTION: A discharge amount of a plurality of nozzles, when the driving signal of a temporary condition is supplied, is measured as a first discharge amount; the average of the first discharge amount in one of the nozzles and a nozzle adjacent to the one nozzle is considered as a second discharge amount so that the second discharge amount of the plurality of nozzles is calculated, respectively, and the driving signal of a suitable condition, of the plurality nozzles, for discharging in a suitable discharge amount is established from the second discharge amount.
