The device (1) has a radio device for transmitting and receiving measurement and/or status values, and a primary antenna (4) arranged in a housing (3). A secondary antenna (7) that is not connected with the primary antenna is fixed outside the housing and is coupled to the primary antenna by a near field coupling done. The secondary antenna is arranged in a housing (8) of an antenna device (9), where the two housings are connected with each other. The secondary antenna is arranged at an inner side of a housing section of the antenna device in an assembled condition of the transmitting device. An independent claim is also included for an antenna device with an antenna in a housing.
