PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destination setting system and a destination setting method, capable of easily setting an arbitrary position on a map into a mobile communication device as a destination. SOLUTION: In the destination setting method, a specific position is selected directly on a map displayed by the display section of a PC 1, and positional information of the selected position is transmitted to a management center 3, and the positional information is managed in the management center 3, and then the positional information is acquired by a car navigation system 4 from the management center 3, and a position corresponding to the positional information is set as the destination on a map displayed by a display section of the car navigation system 4.
