PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding residual quantity display mechanism of a timepiece, and a timepiece with the mechanism, which changes a display method without changing a basic structure. SOLUTION: This winding residual quantity display mechanism 1 of a mechanical timepiece 2 has: an output gear 121 rotating corresponding to a winding-up residual quantity of a spring; a driving lever 40 equipped integrally with a sectorial gear part 44 engaged with the output gear 121, and an arm part 43 extending from a rotation center D of the sectorial gear part 44 toward a direction different from a sectorial part of the sectorial gear part; a display member 50 equipped with a driving gear part 52 supported rotatably on the tip part of the arm part of the driving lever 40, and a display arbor 55 formed integrally with the driving gear part 52 on a portion separated from a rotation center E of the driving gear part 52; and a fixed gear 70 equipped with a fixed teeth part 71 with which a teeth part of the driving gear part 52 of the display member 50 is engaged.
