PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway car which is free from a structural disadvantage of conventional technology. SOLUTION: The railway car comprises carriages including two drive carriages and intermediate carriages, transporting trucks, motorized trucks having at least one motor axle, and tow drive units capable of supplying electric power to motors of the motorized trucks. The invention is characterized at least by that all the carriages comprise passenger compartments, and all the railway cars are completely connected, and the tow drive units are disposed at the three carriages, and the motorized truck is disposed under at least one end part of each carriage receiving the tow drive unit.
