PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator which is capable of surely removing a solid matter in sewage without increasing the number of devices. SOLUTION: The solid-liquid separator keeps the top of a storage tank 11 equipped with a solid-liquid separation tank 12 the lower side of which is a solid matter precipitation area 12A with a taper part and the upper side of which is an aeration area 12B. In an aeration water releasing pump device 13, the sewage in the storage tank 11 is jetted to the solid-liquid separation tank 12 by mixing a number of bubbles therewith and the solid matter with heavy specific gravity is collected to the lower part of the solid-liquid separation tank 12 to send the same to a solid matter separation vessel 19. Then, the solid matter with heavy specific gravity is removed to return the sewage to the storage tank 11. After bubbles to which the fine solid matter with light specific gravity floating in the liquid surface of the solid-liquid separation tank 12 is attached are recovered by a bubble recovery pipe 15 and the sewage at the proximity of the liquid surface is recovered by a sewage recovery pipe 16, the sewage is sent back to the storage tank 11 by the solid-liquid separator 19 and a screen device 18 after removing the fine solid matter. Besides, the sewage in the solid-liquid separation tank 12 is withdrawn from a treatment water withdrawal pipe 10b that is installed at the lower part of the aeration area 12B.
