PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scattering of game balls by executing a ball removal operation when no ball box is placed beneath a ball tray. SOLUTION: A range sensor S is installed adjoining to the lower end of a discharge chute 24 for discharging game balls from a feed tray 15. If the measured value of the range sensor S is changed from an absent value to a bottom value via an edge value, a main control device 70 determines that the ball box 61 is disposed beneath the discharge chute 24, controls linear stepping actuators 90a and 90b via a lamp control device 73 to change a state into one allowing the pushing of a ball removal button 23 and the sliding operation of a ball removal lever 31. This constitution can prevent a player from operating to open the ball removal button 23 or the ball removal lever 31, for forgetting to place no ball box 61, and scattering the game balls.
