The illuminant (10) has a semiconductor crystal (36) emitting electromagnetic radiations in different spatial directions under voltage application. A collecting lens (44) deflects a portion of the radiations such that the lens forms a radiative cone (72) of the illuminant and has a breakage surface (54). The lens has a reflection surface (74) for the radiations emitted by the crystal. The breakage surface and the reflection surface are rotationally symmetric to an optical axis (46) of the illuminant. The lens is made of transparent plastic, epoxy resin and acrylic glass.
